Position Overview
The Director of Sales ensures the hotel achieves its business goals by supporting all revenue-generating departments. This role requires close collaboration with department heads to optimize revenue across rooms, banqueting, restaurants, and other outlets. The Director of Sales identifies opportunities, adapts to market conditions, and provides strategic guidance to align the hotel’s offerings with guest needs and expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement strategies that maximize revenue in all areas, including rooms, events, dining, and ancillary services.
- Monitor local, national, and international market trends to identify opportunities and adapt to changing conditions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through targeted sales efforts, including direct sales calls and ongoing client engagement.
- Create and execute promotions and marketing initiatives that align with the hotel’s positioning and business objectives.
- Support the sales team in generating leads, securing bookings, and managing key accounts.
- Provide consultation and guidance to revenue-generating teams, ensuring alignment with the hotel’s overall business strategy.
- Actively participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes to align sales efforts with financial targets.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to increase brand visibility and attract new business.
